LINK Medical Research is looking for highly motivated Director Clinical Operations to join LINK Medical. LINK Medical is growing and the portfolio of cross-functional projects is increasing. As a Director Clinical Operations, you will work in close collaboration with the General Manager, the Director of Business Development, your team of CRAs and CTAs, other Directors Clinical Operations in other Countries and or Clients. Our aspiration is to become the best CRO in Europe for small and mid-size clients and importance of this role is truly significant. You will have staff in Stockholm, Helsingborg and Malmö and you will report to the General Manager.

JOB PROFILE

Qualifications

  • Management experience is a requirement.
  • Basic education within relevant field, equivalent to degree from University or University College.
  • Broad experience from clinical studies and at least three years of experience as a CRM.
  • Good knowledge of several therapy areas.
  • Good knowledge of the services offered by LINK Medical.
  • Ability and desire to fulfil our customer promises: Quality, punctuality and communication.
  • Planning and organisational skills and ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to show initiative.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated great effort and cooperation skills and achieved good results.
  • Good ability to build personal relations, develop accounts and generate leads.
  • Good understanding of the CRO business.
  • Communication skills.
  • Fluent in English (written and oral).
  • Basic IT knowledge.

 

Position Objectives

  • Professional and motivating management of the department.
  • Active and positive contribute to LINK Medical’s business development.
  • Complete projects and other services according to agreement with project manager, line manager and customer.
  • Reporting implementation and progress of projects and other services according to agreement with project manager, line manager and customer.
  • Behaviour according to our promises (quality, punctuality, communication) and values (credibility, focus on solutions, job satisfaction).

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Completing task(s) according to applicable regulations, agreements and budget.
  • Ensuring that defined objectives and plans are followed-up and met.
  • Active project participation.
  • Cooperation with colleagues in LINK Medical, nationally and internationally.
  • Ensuring that staff is motivated and competent.
  • Ensuring that staff conducts assignments according to agreements.
  • General supervising within relevant fields.
  • Establishing and maintaining customer contact to get new assignments.
  • Ensuring customers’ positive perception of the collaboration with LINK Medical.
  • Planning, budgeting and resource allocation within the department.
  • Active management of/participation in relevant management teams.
  • Promote and develop the market position of LINK Medical.
  • Active participation and networking within relevant international and national business- and scientific organizations.

 

Tasks

  • Follow current admin routines.
  • Relevant tasks given by the line manager. 
  • HR follow-up of LINK Medical employees.
  • Participate in relevant courses, conferences, symposia and meetings as agreed with Line Manager/Customer.
  • Support the staff in personal and professional development.
  • Contribute to the implementation of agreed processes in the organization.
  • Assist with advice and training of less experienced staff at LINK Medical.
  • Ensure that defined objectives and plans are followed-up and met.
  • Resource allocation.
  • Recruitment of new personnel.
  • Develop training material and conduct internal courses.

Tasks Operational

  • Consulting in relevant disciplines.
  • Support the customer in strategic decisions.
  • Guide the customer in current regulations, applicable regulatory authorities and identification of sites.
  • Support the customer in the evaluation of data and documentation.
  • Develop training material and conduct external courses.
  • Contribute with ideas to new clinical studies and to the development of clinical study protocols.
  • Project management and project participation.
  • Study management, co-monitoring and monitoring.

Tasks Business

  • Prepare budgets, contracts and work-orders in cooperation with department staff, project staff and the GM.
  • Keep contact with customers, make new agreements and follow up on on-going agreements.
  • Initiate business development activities as agreed with Management team(s).
