US Health Secretary Kennedy dismisses all vaccine experts – assembles new committee

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has dismissed all 17 members of the CDC’s vaccine advisory panel. A new group of experts will be appointed directly by the Health Secretary, his department announced.

The move marks the most sweeping change yet in a series of reforms led by Robert F. Kennedy Jr, —a long-time vaccine skeptic— aimed at overhauling U.S. oversight of vaccines, food, and pharmaceuticals.

“Today we are prioritizing the restoration of public trust above any specific pro- or anti-vaccine agenda,” Kennedy said in a statement, claiming the decision will ensure that Americans receive the “safest vaccines possible.”
