California‑based Grail aims to detect cancer earlier through tests capable of screening for around 50 tumor types using a single blood sample. The Galleri test analyzes circulating tumor DNA in the blood and searches for biological signals that indicate cancer.

The method was evaluated over three years through annual screening of 142,000 asymptomatic participants aged 50–77 within the UK National Health Service. The goal was to reduce the number of late‑stage cancer diagnoses.
