Bioreactor features disposable sensors

The Biostat Cultibag STR line of bioreactors from Sartorius-Stedim features disposable components to reduce risk of contamination.

The Biostat Cultibag STR is a new line of stirred tank bioreactors. The system is comprised of a stainless steel support housing, a single use bioreactor chamber and a control system utilizing disposable sensors. The bioreactor is the first completely disposable and scalable solution in the fermentation bioreactor market. It is available in two configurations, the basic Biostat Cultibag STR and the advanced Biostat Cultibag STR Plus. The platform is available for working volumes from 12.5 to 200 liters. The use of a reactor chamber single-use bag removes the need for cleaning and sterilization and should reduce contamination risk.
