Sweden is organising a large life science conference as part of the EU presidency

On 26-27 June, Sweden will host a European meeting on life science.

The Presidency Conference on the Future of Life Sciences is organised by the Swedish government and planned by the government’s life science office.

“The theme of the conference will be future life science and precision medicine. We will discuss the big challenges in data, privacy, security and the market,” says Jenni Nordborg, head of the government’s life science office, to Life Science Sweden.

At whom is the conference aimed?

“It will bring together top leaders from all over Europe. The participants will consist of company managers, heads of authorities, research leaders, health and medical care managers, international patient representatives and, of course, politicians from Sweden and Europe.”

The conference will be held at the Aula Medica at the Swedish medical university Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm.

As the national life science coordinator Jenni Nordborg has participated in planning the meeting. Now in January she will leave her position at the Government Office for a newly established position as Head of International Relations at the Swedish Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry, Lif.
