Här är händelserna som skapade life science-året 2009 - affärerna, investeringarna, larmen eller skräcken. Det är dessa händelser som gjort avtryck i branschen och skapat utgångsläget för år 2010. Med det vill vi på Biotech Sweden önska er alla ett Gott Nytt År med förhoppningar om ett ännu bättre och mer framgångsrikt år för vår bransch.

Nikotinforskaren bakom 310-miljonersaffären
Karl-Olov Fagerström är forskaren bakom lilla Niconovum som nyligen såldes för 310 miljoner till amerikanska tobaksbolaget Reynolds. Med tre procent i bolaget får han drygt nio miljoner.

Både svart och vitt på årets mässor
Årets mässor, Biotech Forum+Scanlab och Medicinska riksstämman, minskade i besök. 8 700 besökare under onsdagen och torsdagen att jämföra med 11 900 under 2007. Bland utställarna är uppfattningen delad, många är nöjda medan andra är besvikna.

Startskott för årets mässor
I onsdags slogs portarna upp till 2009 års upplaga av Biotech Forum och Scanlab. - Det är något färre besökare än vanligt men väldigt bra stämning, säger Kim Lindhe, ansvarig på Stockholmsmässan.

Clinical trials in large scale to Stockholm
Karolinska Trial Alliance, KTA, will open a medical clinical for clinical trials in Phases II-IV. The clinic will be able to accommodate up to 150 patients per study, so that companies do not have to go abroad for clinical trials.
